Our Kalyani Nagar kids

Since August 2022 we are having the opportunity to coach some young players from the Raheja Woods society in Kalyani Nagar, Pune. Coach Joyson is in charge of this new batch under the supervision of senior coach Diego Contreras, from Chile in South America.

From the start we could see the kids’ willingness and efforts to learn and practice new skills. Every session ends with a highly competitive but friendly match.

“The interest and passion for football is growing exponentially among young boys and girls in India. And these kids are having the opportunity to learn and practice football from early ages, which will give them a head start when playing with their friends in the neighbourhood or in school”, commented Josue Tanaami, one of CTM Sports’ directors.

What a great combination of fitness, friends and fun, now in Kalyani Nagar too!

How long we waited for this day to come! Exactly two years ago, in March of 2020, we had to stop virtually everything as the Covid pandemic hit India and the world and change everybody’s lives forever!

Now as life gets back to normal, we are so glad to meet sports biggest enthusiasts: the kids and teenagers! It is so fun to see them learning new skills, fighting for every ball or at times just enjoying playing with the grass or having a chat with friends right in the middle of the ground!

Our team of qualified coaches and assistant coaches are always available to help them achieve their goals, be them improve their football skills or simply be a sports enthusiast and enjoy fun and friendship on and off the field!

Welcome back coach Luciano!

Team CTM is pleased to welcome coach Luciano Pinheiro and his family back to India! Coach Luciano is from Brazil and will be heading our company’s branch in Goa.

Coach Luciano is not new to India. In the past, he had already ran several football coaching camps in Goa and other states. He brings his vast experience as a dynamic Brazilian coach along with his love for India and our desire to see young people grow and develop in their football and life skills.

Play Safe! Stay Safe!

The world is experiencing unprecedented times of crisis caused by Covid-19. The best we can do, right now, is to play safe – take care of yourself, maintain basic hygiene habits and abide by the government measures of social distancing and self-isolation, if needed. This is for the welfare of us all.

Unfortunately, this also means, our exciting days of football coaching and enjoyable matches have come to an end earlier this academic year. We, the management and coaches of CTM Sports want to thank the school authorities, parents and friends of Anisha Global Schools for entrusting this responsibility of helping your students / children in teaching not only football skills and practices to strengthen their physical fitness and abilities, but also skills for life that will last beyond their schooling years, into their adulthood and, hopefully, things they will remember and practice for the rest of their lives.

We look forward for continuing the good relationships and partnership in a near future. Until then, we leave you with a few memorable pictures. And remember: Play safe, stay safe and, God willing, see you soon!

Friendly Matches

Months of regular and intensive football coaching practices paid off as the students of both Undri and Life Republic Anisha Global Schools displayed their skills in three friendly matches held at the school grounds in Marunji School authorities, including the Managing Partner Dr. Manoj Singh, joined the teachers, school staff, guests and other students in cheering for their teams.

In the girls match, coach Laban’s team beat coach Seyie’s team by 3X0. In the junior boys category, coach Santu’s team beat coach Kele’s team in penalty shootouts (5X3) as the match ended in a draw (0X0). And the thrilling senior boys match between coach Jhantu’s team and coach Diego’s team ended with a convincing 3X0 victory by coach Jhantu’s team..

Regardless of the final scores, all players and cheerleaders did great! The matches showed that when we work hard as a team, the results will come. No sooner the event was over, students already started asking when the next matches will happen.

Well, we look forward for organising many more such events in a near future!

Teamwork

Teamwork is one of our values at CTM Sports. We believe in the synergistic effect that one plus one is more than two, and that a high performing team can achieve more than the sum of individual efforts of the team members.

We love to work together while teaching football and skills for life to the over 400 boys and girls that receive coaching every week. We also love to play together and have fun while doing our work. Teams that enjoy working together perform better.

We also hope we are passing some of these values to the students. So, definitely, Together Everyone Achieves More!

Come Rain or Shine

We had excellent rains this year in Pune. Good for the farmers, but sad for the students who couldn’t play football due to bad whether. Nevertheless, they enjoyed good indoor sports activities that helped them stay fit and have fun.

Now that the monsoon season is almost over, it’s time to get back to kicking the balls, learning and practising new skills and playing hard. After all, sports is so essential for young people to develop physically, emotionally and relationally as they learn and apply teamwork in all they do.

Rubika FC

It was a good five months trial for the Rubika students. Though busy with their studies and assignments, a group of enthusiastic football lovers faithfully gathered twice a week for football coaching at the Anisha School grounds in Hinjewadi.

Coaches Diego Contreras (Chile), Jhantu, Santu (Kolkata), Seyie and Kele (Nagaland) took turns to pass on valuable football coaching practices, which helped the students to improve their game and served as a focus shift from their projects and assignments. We had some enjoyable and fun evenings together too.

Though the coaching sessions are over, due to the demanding college schedule, we hope to keep meeting the Rubika guys from time to time.

A Thrilling Tournament

After six months of regular football coaching, the NIBM Anisha football tournament could not have been more thrilling as players from the four houses fought for every ball and displayed amazing football skills!

Those who were not in the playing field were cheering on the sidelines for their teams. And it wasn’t only the students, but even the teachers were wholeheartedly supporting them. In each of the nerve-wrecking clashes, the boys and girls applied the lessons taught by the coaches throughout the year. In the end, the most balance team – the green house – won the final match and lifted the cup.

Congratulations to all the teams and players for their efforts and dedication! It was indeed a day to remember for a long time!
